This play is about a war between writer and character in reality and through illusion. The hot, narrow room is like a writer's brain. The writer needs inspiration just like an oracle, but instead he had a bizarre nightmare. The woman,as a character who has been the writer’s ‘muse’,however she starts to fight with him and ask the unfinished character -the man, to obey her will.They are struggled in desire,and writer wondering should he destroy them or not,should he continue their ‘life’?The man,who is suffering of falling in love with the woman,asks writer to stop in this ‘love’ moment.The anxious writer under such pressure of being trapped in a stereotype and the ambition of being an inspiration is also very exhausting.


“God from the Machine" is an ancient and maybe cliche style of playwriting as it becomes a symbol of inspiration for writers here. In the end, is "God" coming? Is the writer going out of his own predicament? There is no definite conclusion, but the formation of a dramatic picture has become an open ending with a view of the audience.
This original play won the grants of National Taichung theater(NTT) of Taiwan and was performed officially in NTT’s black box on nonmember 2017, which presents the artist's observation of himself. Starting from the beauty of the image and the sound of the language and then passing away of the elapsed characters (Xixiawen, the ancient Icelandic, etc.). It is suggested that the superficial communication may be invalid and the inner is suppressed. Emotions are actually valuable as the creator’s honesty is the core of art work. The play also presents the musical magic of the language as it shows the bottom of the consciousness and the unnameable poetry. We try to find out the passion of writing and bring the text back to life again .
